Mid-Summer Edition!
Things are happening in the fiber arts world this summer and July is no exception! Lots of words to follow, but that means lots of fun too!
We had a successful “2 choice Tuesday” for meetup this week and well attended at both the Hybrid Gallery and Meraki Coffee & Co. Our local area has so many crafters and tons of community to gather, so it’s really exciting to have multiple options!
Weekly Tuesday meetups through the summer will be held at The Hybrid Gallery (941 W. 3rd Ave in Eugene). They are thrilled to host us! outside food welcome, drinks available for purchase at the venue. We have indoor AND outdoor seating there, so we can accommodate whatever the weather brings.
If we hear about additional meetups around town we will be sure to post those as well on the Yarnies541 calendar.
Meraki Coffee & Co. may be considering a monthly craft meetup after the success on Tuesday. How exciting!
Thursday July 2nd meetup is at Oakshire Commons at 416 Main St. in Springfield.
Friday July 3rd is the Eugene Art Walk and #InstaBallet will be crowdsourcing choreography at the Farmers Market Pavilion. Stop in between 5:30 and 8 to give ideas and be part of the creativity! Performance at 8pm. It will probably be a great night to be out with the weather getting warm again.

Stay tuned for a possible Yarnies541 stitching circle once again at the fair in the textile area.

Yarn In Public Day was a success again this year with over 40 folks gathering in community together and celebrating our craft. It was a beautiful YIP Day!
Both Stringfield Yarn Collective and Yarnies541 were sponsors for the second Queer Creative Bloom held at the Farmers Market Pavilion on June 21st. A real celebration of local creativity in so many forms. Yarnies541 hosted a craft circle that was well attended and we met so many new crafters!! So. Much. Fun. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

Lastly, stay tuned for more about the Yarn Adventure Truck! Coming to visit July 23rd and stopping in at Stringfield Yarn Collective.
