Yarnies! August is here, what happened to July? Sheesh!

Congratulations to all of the Lane County Fair ribbon winners! We really showed out for the fair and it was so fun to watch people get such a kick out of the chickens and ohh and ahh over the gorgeous entries. I don’t have a complete list of winners yet, but hope to showcase that sometime soon. Cassandra took a 1st, a 2nd, two 3rd place ribbons and also a “special award” ribbon. Krista took a 1st place ribbon. Emi took a 2nd place ribbon. Mo took a 1st and 2nd place ribbon. Taylor took four 1st place ribbons. Erin took three 1st place ribbons in textiles AND one in art/painting. Robin took multiple ribbons in textiles. Randy took honorable mention for his awesome chicken. I know there are more and I am waiting on an email from the fair people with a list of ribbon winners. Next year I hope to do a better job of documenting Yarnies541 winners. We ALL get blue ribbons as far as I’m concerned! And a special great big THANK YOU to everyone who was able to come out and “demo” with us. I have heard some talk about doing zombie dolls as our group entries next year? Like we did with the chickens this year. I am excited to see what next fair season brings!

Jenna shared a resource with us that I want to pass on. If you are looking to learn to crochet this year, check out this (free!) crochet academy from TL Yarn Crafts: https://tlycblog.com/crochetacademy/ I watch Toni’s podcast, and I have found her really engaging, fun, and super talented.

Cozy’s Summer Stitch-O-Rama is still happening and it has been great seeing everything people are making and posting about!
