Hello Everyone,
This week has been heavy with grief and outrage. The world feels chaotic and uncertain for many of us. We don’t attempt to downplay any of that, and we are feeling it with you. We believe the way through these hard times is with continued community building to hold each other closely through all of this. We have been amazed at how our members have been sharing information, resources, and community spirit with each other and Yarnies541 hopes to continue to foster that with our little club. We are capable of feeling both the horrors AND the beauty that can be happening at the same time. So please hold tight to the beauty and creative wonders of the world while we are fighting against the gruesome injustice and terror. We hold each other up in community.
And this is not just the “terrible news digest”, so read on for fun things that don’t make you want to puke or scream, or both at the same time.

Scope out your stash for something to bring for swapping* as well as a yummy potluck dish you may want to share. The fundraising focus for The Big Fleece 2026 is currently being decided as the evolving landscape in our community may mean we change focus for this event.
*swap gifts must come from stash (NOT purchased for this event) and be fiber craft related. Swap gifts DO NOT have to be full skeins! Swap gifts can be many things! Partial skeins, a whole bag of scraps for a great scrap project, books, patterns, tools and notions, etc. even a project on the needles/hook that you no longer want to finish. The possibilities are vast!
This is a great way to pass along once loved (or not!) stash, send it to a new home, and have many laughs in the process.
