Fall is here, the rain is attempting to return and some cool-ish weather seems to be trying to make a comeback (maybe?). We have been seeing a lot of beautiful projects in the works for the coming season!

Yarnies541 business meetings will resume this month! September 14th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Meetings held at Stringfield Yarn Collective: 175 S. 5th Street in Springfield.

The “Un”Fair is still happening! A new event Yarnies541 is hosting at Stringfield Yarn Collective from September 5th-12th. Items will be displayed in the shop through Springfield’s Art Walk on September 12th and folks will be able to purchase tickets to submit votes for their favorite items with proceeds going toward a community cause (exact organization to be voted on at our business meeting on Sunday). Stringfield Yarn Collective is located at 175 S. 5th St. in Springfield. Unrelated to the UNfair, Stringfield is featuring Yarnies541 members that won ribbons at the Lane County Fair, along with other beautiful fiber and fine art this Friday, September 12th at the Springfield Art Walk. Stop in and see the Art Wall at Stringfield!

Fiona Kay Knits trunk show at Stringfield September 27th! Fiona will be in the shop with her beautiful yarn and fiber creations including her latest obsession with hand dyed fiber/batts and the new Midnight Rodeo collection. Paid Yarnies541 members will have an opportunity for a meet and greet with Fiona on Friday night (September 26th). YeeHaw!
And also on the 27th: Fashion Clownette is hosting their Hello Handcraft Hangout on September 27th from 11am-3pm at the Eugene Garden Club: 1645 High St. in Eugene. This is a FREE event. From their newsletter: “Come hang out at the Eugene Garden Club for a crafty social meet-up & potluck! Whatever portable handwork you fancy, come do it with friends! Crochet, knit, cross-stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, beading, drawing, scrapbooking, or ANY other crafty thing! If you aren’t working on a project right now, just bring yourself or bring something to show & tell!
