Hey Yarnies!

Wow! What a weekend! Knit-A-Thon was a big success on Saturday, the Yarnies541 Team raised $580 contributing to the Knit for Food Knit-A-Thon combined 2025 total of $528,391. Holy. Cow. There was a lot of action over the weekend that many folks participated in, including nationwide protests and community building events. There are so many ways to actively support our communities and each other in these times.

Speaking of building community….Stringfield Yarn Collective hosted a Yarnies541 members only sneak peek on Friday and you all really CAME THROUGH!! What an incredible and literally heart warming spectacle. Saturday and Sunday were “soft open” days and the community really showed up! Lots of interest and buzzing about the space, the community mission, and of course all the gorgeous yarn! We are over the moon about the future of our local fiber community expansion and eager to welcome more events and shared space opportunities for fun and connection! Grand Opening on Saturday April 26th.

This week’s Tuesday meetup on April 8th is at Roaring Rapids from 5:30-7:30pm (4006 Franklin Blvd. Eugene). It’s the monthly birthday meetup which means cupcakes and Birthday Gnome raffle (see picture below for the happiest little spring gnome, thank you Mindy!) for April birthdays! Please join us if you can! Food available for purchase at venue, dessert provided by Always Be Kind Yarn (thank you Laura!)

Next business meeting is this Sunday, April 13th at Stringfield Yarn Collective (175 S. 5th St. in Springfield) from 5:30-7:30. Big ideas and plans forthcoming. Join us if you can and watch the newsletter for announcements. 

Local Yarn Store Day: Saturday, April 26th! At least 2 of our local stores are participating in LYS Day 2025, be sure to stop by and see what’s going on that day!

Stringfield Yarn Collective (175 S. 5th St. SPRINGFIELD) This will be Stringfield Yarn Collective’s Grand Opening day as well.
