Yarnies541 December updates:
Happy run up to the Winter Holidays Yarnies!
Now through December 23rd our beloved LYS Cozy will be open on MONDAYS from 3pm-7pm for your last minute crafting needs (this includes an open sit & stitch from 5pm-7pm those days too!).
It’s not too late to purchase a Yarnies541 Holiday Gift Bingo card to support our local food bank as well as Yarnies541. Let the crafting you’re likely doing anyway give you a chance to win prizes from some of our local makers! Visit https://ko-fi.com/yarnies541 Just under the donate button is the “shop” with the Holiday Gift Bingo image where you can purchase the Bingo card. Sliding scale with suggested donation of $10 (give what you can, donations begin at $1). Drawings for gift bingo will be held January 4th. Post on the socials, or email Yarnies541@gmail.com with your Bingos to be sure you are entered into the drawings! If you’re sharing on Instagram, remember to TAG us on instagram so we see your entries and Bingos! @Yarnies541

For more info, click here: https://oregonstateexpo.org/calendar/2024-salem-etsy-team-holiday-market/
Meetup on Tuesday, December 10th at 5:30pm will be at Public House 418 ‘A’ Street in Springfield. We usually try to meet in the large bar area at the big middle tables if we can.
Monday, December 30th Shelton McMurphy Johnson House Sit & Stitch 6pm-8pm.
Eugene Saturday Market “Holiday Market” is happening weekends through Christmas Eve at Lane Events Center. visit https://www.eugenesaturdaymarket.org/ for more info. Lots of locally crafted, beautiful things! Free admission, free parking.
No business meeting in December, instead plan for attending “The Big Fleece” January 19th (location TBD). This is a fun, gift exchange (think white elephant style) with items FROM YOUR STASH only! Scope out your stash as you’re finishing your holiday crafts for something to bring for swapping (swap gifts must come from stash/be fiber craft related. Does NOT have to be full skeins! Swap gifts can be many things! Partial skeins, a whole bag of scraps for a great scrap project, books, patterns, tools and notions, etc. even a project on the needles/hook that you no longer want to finish. The possibilities are vast!). This is a great way to pass along once loved (or not!) stash, send it to a new home, and have many laughs in the process. This was a big hit last year and we’re really looking forward to it again! More details to come.
Last thing: Please show off your crafts and projects on the socials and our discord channel! If there’s ever any doubt about “does anyone want to see the things I make” THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS YES! WE DO WANT TO SEE! AND WE ARE IMPRESSED AND AMAZED AT THE COOL STUFF YOU ALL MAKE! Who even needs tv when my instagram and discord feed are full of awesome things that everyone is making!?!
