Hey Yarnies! Just a quick, late-November update about events and such this week.
Tonight! Monday, November 25th from 6pm-8pm: Sit & Stitch at the Shelton McMurphy Johnson House. Located at 303 Willamette St. in Eugene. Donations gladly accepted for the Garden Terrace capital campaign. See smjhouse.org for more info.
Tuesday, November 26th 5:30pm: Yarnies541 meetup at Whirled Pies. Located at 199 W. 8th Ave in Eugene. Swing by and say Hi, we’d love to see you! Note: I confirmed that there are no wastewater or toilet lectures happening this time, LOL.
Saturday, November 30th is Small Business Saturday, please support our incredible, local, small businesses this weekend. Cozy is having a small business Saturday event at their shop featuring a few of our own Yarnies541 members! Mindy (@DaisiesAndDirtCreations) and Halla (@the.cozy.moose) will be there and you can find Taylor’s bags there year-round (@needle.fox.arts) as well as Laura’s self-striping hand-dyed yarn (@AlwaysBeKindYarn)!
Lastly, if you haven’t heard already, check out the Yarnies541 Holiday Gift BINGO (the brainchild of our VP Taylor!). Sliding scale with suggested donation of $10 (give what you can, donations begin at $1). Proceeds after fees will be split 80/20 with Food for Lane County, our local food bank. The remaining 20% goes directly to Yarnies541 general expenses (website, future business cards, etc.). You’re likely going to be crafting/making gifts anyway…why not make it fun and maybe win something too!
