Hello Yarnies, and Happy April Fools! If ever there was a movement to limit crafting, I guess we’d have to find each other in lock up and start a new group on the inside, likely we would all be in for the same charges: inciting riots and resisting arrest, you know, the general rabble rousing. You are welcome to join our prison gang, the invitation will be open to all.

Fundraiser update: Yarnies541 raised $855 for Knit for Food Knit-A-Thon, contributing to the grand total of $379,010 raised going to support the following missions: Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels. Way to go crafters! We had a good time at Cozy for the last 3 hours of the knit-a-thon. 

Tuesday night meetup April 2nd from 5ish to whenever: Due to the GLORIOUS weather forecasted for this Tuesday, we will be meeting at the Public House in Springfield for our Tuesday night meet up. Hoping for the outdoor-ish space near the entrance. We’ll post on the socials (instagram and facebook) where exactly we’re sitting when we get there. 

Reminders:

Meeting reminder: Yarnies541 meeting this month is Sunday, April 21st at Grower’s Market 454 Willamette St. in Eugene from 5pm-7pm. We’ll be discussing upcoming events and plans for fun.

Other events that members are involved in:

• Spring 2024 Handmade Market – April 27th 10am-4pm at the Scottish Rite Center 4090  Commercial St SE Salem. Put on by the Salem Etsy Team with 60+ vendors of handmade  goods. Mindy will be a vendor at this event selling her crocheted items. 

• Laura (www.alwaysbekindyarn.com) will be doing a trunk show at Hook & Needle in Vancouver, WA on May 11th. 

• Taylor will be knitting in real time during the Instaballet (#createtogether) ballet on the first  Friday in May. Check them out at instaballet.org We are looking forward to sweeping what Taylor comes up with at the end of this event!
